High school students stuff a bus in Niles
Niles, Mich. -- In these hard times food pantries across our area are in desperate need of help.
The Salvation Army in Niles got that help from some Michiana school kids. Members of the Niles High School Student Council were on hand to help "Stuff the Bus.”
All of the food collected will go to the Salvation Army in Niles. Students say it felt great to step in and help
“It really does make you feel like you've accomplished something,” says Ava McKeel. “Going home today I know I wasn't sitting on the couch and doing nothing. I helped people, I helped numerous amounts of people, not just a small amount."
Niles High School will also host a food drive next week. It will be a competition between the classes to see which grade can donate the most food.
