Holcomb signs into law bill to improve Four Winds Field

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb signed Senate Bill 326 into law on Thursday, officially approving increased funding for improvements to Four Winds Field and other entertainment venues in South Bend.

State Representative Jake Teshka, who co-sponsored the bill, as well as Mayor James Mueller and South Bend Cubs owner Andrew Berlin joined Governor Holcomb for the signing during a ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse.

The bill expands on an existing law that sets aside tax dollars that would normally go to the state to maintain and improve publicly owned stadiums in a city.

Senate Bill 326 will bring an estimated $100 million to South Bend over the next 20 years.
