Each day this week we’re featuring a ‘holiday hero’ - the groups and people of Michiana making a difference for the holidays and all year round.
The mission of Real Services is supporting older adults with dignity, independence and strength. The Meals-on-Wheels program is important in keeping seniors healthy and in their homes.
Meals-on-Wheels is one of those organizations that you may not interact with on a daily basis, but quietly does a lot of good in our community. Serving St. Joeseph and northern Elkhart County.
Meals-on-Wheels provides a hot meal or sack lunch to seniors who are homebound, not able to prepare food for themselves, or don’t have someone to make a meal for them.
This time of year, many organizations are in need of donations or money but the greatest need for this organization are volunteers! As little as two hours a week or month and can make a difference.
If you'd like to get involved, go to the Real Services website.
