Home Depot in Mishawaka re-opening after roof problems

MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- Home Depot in Mishawaka will re-open its doors Monday morning at 6 a.m.

Crews have been working around the clock to fix the roof.

Four days ago the Home Depot was evacuated when heavy snow made the roof buckle.

Ron Barker said, “Unbelievable. I mean you’d think that they would be right on that.”

Home Depot employees along with 3-4 other contractors worked through the night on Monday to fix the roof and electric wiring.

Some customers thought it was funny that a store dedicated to home improvement would fall victim to winter woes.

“They’re in home repair not big box repair so that’s a big construction project when a roof falls in,” Barker said.

On Monday workers were still shoveling snow off the roof.
