Homeless man asks for real family Thanksgiving dinner

Neal Shytles says he is surrounded by people every day, but still feels like he is alone.

Every night, he rents a room at a homeless shelter and stands in line for meals, but he wants a meal at a table with a family atmosphere this Thanksgiving.

To combat his lonely feelings, Shytles posted an ad on a local station's Facebook and asked for a family to spend time with him on Thanksgiving.

“It would mean the world to me if somebody took me in, just for that one day for a couple hours. It hurts me to be alone with no family or nobody around,” says Shytles.

After his search aired and was shared on social media, viewers reached out to help him with dozens of people offering him a place to have a happy Thanksgiving to have the meal and atmosphere he has been wanting.
