Homes for Heroes to host veteran fundraiser

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The eighth annual Helping Hurting Heroes fundraiser will be hosted on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by Michiana Homes for Heroes at Heroes Park in Mishawaka. 

Funds from the event will directly benefit local veteran organizations throughout Michiana.

Homes for Heroes has partnered with multiple organizations to have booths set up for veteran support systems and work programs.

Lunch will be served by Mission BBQ, and the event features a dog tag machine, live music and a raffle tent.

Several kids’ activities will also be on-site with a face painting booth and balloon artists.

Active recruitment from the Mishawaka Police and Fire Department as well as the U.S. Army will occur.
