Homily hitting hard at Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind.-- Faculty at Notre Dame have petitioned to distance themselves from a bishop who recently made strong and widely unshared statements.

Bishop Daniel Jenky, a member of Notre Dame's Board of Fellows, has been quoted for a homily where he compared President Obama's intent as being "similar to Hitler and Stalin."

The remarks sparked outrage among Notre Dame faculty and staff.

There are nearly 100 signatures on a petition asking the university to distance itself from Jenky.

The people signing the petition also believe that it would be in the best interest that Jenky resign from the board, if he doesn't publicly renounce his statement.
