A small Christmas gift was presented to the union members locked out of Honeywell Tuesday.
Reverend Sylvester Williams Jr. and WUBS Radio organized a holiday turkey giveaway for those employees.
The event was called “Sharing is Caring” was held at the UAW local chapter nine.
Many of the employees said the gift was much needed.
"It just eases it. It doesn't resolve their whole situation and whatnot. A lot of members are out working because they can't just sit around and wait for this to end. So they do what they have to do to keep the lights on and their families fed,” says Bryan Rodgers recording secretary for UAW 9 and Honeywell Machinist.
Honeywell and the union are still negotiating matters.
