House fire on Waite Boulevard

The Clay Township Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 18500 block of Waite Boulevard at 10:50 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, smoke and flames were coming out of the back of the house.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

All of the occupants got out of the house safely.

Clay Fire says the fire started in the kitchen.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
