Howard Street & Corby Boulevard Streetscape Improvement Project begins Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Road work will begin on Howard Street beginning Monday, June 7, as part of the Howard Street & Corby Boulevard Streetscape Improvement Project.

Work will stretch from Frances Street to S.R. 23 during the first phase of the project. This section of the road will be closed during construction. 

The intersection at Howard and Eddy streets will also be closed during this time.

The project includes new sidewalks, curbs, pavement, streetlights, and storm sewers along both Howard Street and Corby Boulevard.

Construction on Howard Street is expected to end on Thursday, July 15, weather permitting.

Phase two of the Project, on Corby Boulevard from Frances Street to South Bend Avenue, will be closed from June 29 to July 15, weather permitting.
