Human remains found along I-94 identified

LAWRENCE, Mich.—The human remains found near I-94 on December 12 have been identified by the Western Michigan School of Medicine in conjunction with the Michigan State Police Anthropology Unit.

The skeletal remains were positively identified as 28-year-old Jerome Ezell of Lansing, who went missing on November 7, 2017.

The autopsy has not yet been completed and cause of death is still unknown.

The investigation is being handled by Michigan State Police First District Headquarters Special Investigation Section and is being investigated as a homicide.
