Humane Society holding free cat adoption day

The Humane Society of St. Joseph County is looking for forever homes for hundreds of cats and will be holding a one day only free adoption event October 17th from 12:00-5:50 p.m..

Currently, the Humane Society has more than 120 cats in its adoption center with more than 370 more cats waiting for their spot in adoption.

During the Cat-tastic Free Cat Adoption Event, adoption fees will be waived only for October 17th.

All cats available will be spayed or neutered, up to date on current vaccinations, microchipped, and  in good health.

If you choose to adopt a new companion, you’ll have to fill out an application Saturday at the shelter and approved.  You’re asked to bring a carrier to take your new pet home.

The Cat-tastic Free Cat Adoption Day will be held at the Humane Society of St. Joseph County located at 2506 Grape Rd. in Mishawaka.
