NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Tuesday evening, 600 women gathered at the Gug on Notre Dame's campus for the fifth annual Football 101. It's a fundraiser for the Kelly Cares Foundation and gives women a chance to try their hand at football.
The participants get a chance to learn form and technique, passing, catching and kicking. They also get to eat food from local restaurants and see a fashion show with athletic gear and football equipment.
The event benefits the Kelly Cares Foundation, started by Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly and his wife Paqui.
Paqui is a two-time breast cancer survivor.
Funds raised will benefit breast cancer prevention, awareness and early detection initiatives chosen by the Kelly Cares Foundation.
