Hundreds gather to watch 4th of July fireworks in St. Joe

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. --  Hundreds gathered at Silver Beach in St. Joe for the annual fireworks display.  One couple even scoped out the area eight hours before the show even started.

Bobbi and Joe Youngblood are native to St. Joe and have been coming to see fireworks for 30 years.

This year, they brought their grandchildren along.

During the day, they enjoyed a band of patriotic music, a picnic and their grandkids got to play in the fountain.

The Youngbloods said that nothing beats St. Joseph covered with the stars and stripes.

"It is wonderful with the flag.  It is wonderful with a lot of people wearing patriotic clothing and a wonderful way to celebrate America's birthday," said Bobbi Youngblood.
