I&M warns boaters to be careful on the river near the hydro-electric dam

ELKHART, Ind. -- A warning has been issued from Indiana-Michigan Power.
Boaters need to be careful on the St. Joseph River by the hydro-electric dam in Elkhart.
The barrier usually keeps boats 300-feet from the dam, but it's been removed, due to extensive damage.
I&M said that the new barrier should be up in a couple of weeks.
