IBE announces lineup for MLK celebration

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Chapter of Indiana Black announced calendar of events for this year’s Martin Luther King Celebration.

This year's theme is "The Power of Voice: Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

Robert Taylor, Elkhart Chapter of the Indiana Black Expo president, stated, "We are honored this year to celebrate Mayor Rod & Regina Roberson as our 2026 Ben Barners Community Service award winners, Taylor states they are the heart and soul of the school city and we just want to say thank you to them for the work they do each and every day."

Mauri Miller and Bryan P. Allen are this year's keynote speakers. 

Mauri Miller currently serves as a senior legal and compliance leader, advising growing organizations on governance, risk management, and strategic growth.

Bryan P. Allen is a digital strategy leader, community advocate, and proud native of Elkhart, Indiana. His career in telecommunications has taken him from local call centers to the forefront of ATT’s global digital operations.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. at Community Mission Baptist Church. 

Lunch will be served immediately after the program.
