Icy roadways cause multiple slide-offs

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Icy conditions were a hazard on the roads in Elkhart and St. Joseph County Tuesday.
Multiple accidents and slide-offs caused the east and westbound lanes of the bypass to shut down for three hours.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department responded to three separate accidents that involved 20 vehicles in one location at the same time.
Medics rushed one person to the hospital from the scene and there were three other people treated for minor injuries.
