Idea Week set in full swing Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. –- Idea Week is all about ideas and inspiration. It’s a host to blossoming business ventures, entrepreneurial opportunities, and not to mention a little entertainment from some big-name guests.

The week of events was organized by the IDEA Center at the University of Notre Dame which provides the space, resources, and expertise for ideas to come alive.

Listed on the week-long event’s website, is a lengthy list of mixed events.

Monday, the headlining event focuses on an open conversation between South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Tracy Graham, a local entrepreneur. The discussion will tackle tough topics that city governments face and give an insight on what it is like to grow a business in a city like South Bend.

Later in the evening, comedian Gabriel Iglesias A.K.A “Fluffy,” will perform a sold out show at the Morris Performing Arts Center.

Tuesday and Wednesday, a series of short events focused around startup businesses will fill the day before the president of GE Ventures Licensing, Patrick Patnode, speaks about the intrapreneurship at the Lerner Theater in Elkhart.

Thursday, the big event comes from UND’s Debartolo Performing Arts Center where ABC Shark Tank’s Daymond John takes the stage to speak about life as a cab driver to life as a CEO. The event is sold out.

Finally on Friday, chart-topping recording artists, The Chainsmokers, will perform at Purcell Pavillion. Click here to purchase tickets.
