Independence Day weekend proves deadly

Several fatal accidents struck families around the country as they celebrated Independence Day.

On Long Island, more than two dozen people were on a boat when it capsized. Three children -- ages 8, 11 and 12 -- were killed.

In Missouri and Tennessee, several children were electrocuted at lakes.

"Someone started hollering the kids are getting electrocuted," Betty Hamilton, a bystander, said. "People jumped into the water. My son and brother helped get one little boy out.

Investigators are unsure what caused electricity to run through the lakes.
