Indiana Beach expected to reopen in 2020, official says
MONTICELLO, Ind.— Indiana Beach Amusement and Water Park Resort is expected to reopen in 2020, an official with the park's owner said Monday.
The owner of Indiana Beach, Apex Parks Group, announced earlier this month that the company will undergo financial restructuring and file for bankruptcy.
Apex Parks Group announced in February that the Monticello amusement park would close permanently but photos and posts to the amusement park’s Facebook page on April 16 and 18 suggested that the park may not stay closed forever.
An official with the amusement park on Monday shared that the park is working with White County to complete the sale of the park and campground, with the expectation that it will operate in 2020.
Apex Parks Groups' other parks across the country are currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
