SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo (SBCIBE) is hosting their annual Back-to-School Drive-Through Rally where families can pick up free school supplies.
The rally will take place at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, August 6.
SBCIBE aims to relieve the financial constraints of purchasing school supplies off of parents and teachers.
They will have pencils, notebooks and backpacks for free. Student attending South Bend schools will need clear backpacks for the school year, so SBCIBE will provide the school supplies in disposable bags.
ABC57's Gordy Young spoke with the event's Assistant Coordinators, Linda Johnson, and Kathy Philips about what to expect at the event.
For more information about donations, visit SBCIBE's Facebook page.
