Indiana drivers to get new license plate option

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The next time Hoosiers renew their license plates they will have a new option.
Indiana Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman revealed the new bicentennial plate Thursday.
It is a blue image of the state's shape with the number 200 across it and 19 stars to symbolize Indiana as the 19th state.
"We can't think of a better way of raising the awareness and preparing all of our people for the bicentennial by having millions of vehicles traveling our streets and our highways advertising this bicentennial," Skillman said.
indiana's bicenntenial is in 2016.
The state says the new license plates will be available in late December.
