Indiana Gubernatorial John Gregg picks a running mate
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Former Indiana House Speaker John Gregg is ready to run for governor.
Now he has a running mate to complete his ticket.
On Thursday, the Democratic candidate stopped in South Bend to introduce State Senator Vi Simpson as his running mate.
Gregg said he is confident in his choice to have Simpson running alongside him.
"I am convinced that we absolutely have the best pick for Lieutenant Governor that is possible," said Gregg.
Simpson said she looks forward to bringing her experience in the Senate to a new role.
Gregg and Simpson will face the Republican ticket of Mike Pence and Sue Ellspermann in November.
