Indiana has 16,588 cases of COVID-19, 901 deaths

The Indiana State Department of Health announced there are 650 new cases of COVID-19 and 57 deaths.

There are a total of 16,588 cases and 901 Hoosiers have died.

There are an additional 91 probable COVID-19 related deaths. Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but for which no positive test is on record.

To date, 87,181 tests have been reported to the department.

Marion County had the most new cases, at 158.

Other counties with more than 10 new cases were Allen (19), Cass (85), Elkhart (24), Hancock (21), Jasper (11), Johnson (11), Lake (129), Porter (13) and St. Joseph (16).

  • Elkhart Co.: 269 cases, 7 deaths
  • Fulton Co.: 26 cases
  • Kosciusko Co.: 30 cases, 2 deaths, 13 recovered
  • La Grange Co.: 24 cases, 2 deaths
  • LaPorte Co.: 199 cases, 5 deaths
  • Marshall Co.: 28 cases, 1 death
  • Pulaski Co.: 21 cases
  • St. Joseph Co.: 602 cases, 19 deaths
  • Starke Co.: 15 cases, 1 death
