Indiana has 28,255 cases of COVID-19, 1,621 deaths

The Indiana State Department of Health announced there are 492 new cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths. 

There are a total of 28,255 cases and 1,621 Hoosiers have died.

To date, 183,912 tests have been reported to the department.

  • Elkhart Co.: 687 cases, 23 deaths
  • Fulton Co.: 44 cases, 1 death
  • Kosciusko Co.: 58 cases, 1 death, 20 recovered
  • La Grange Co.: 50 cases, 2 deaths
  • La Porte Co.: 360 cases, 16 deaths
  • Marshall Co.: 42 cases, 1 death
  • Pulaski Co.: 35 cases
  • St. Joseph Co.: 984 cases, 28 deaths, 292 recovered
  • Starke Co.: 28 cases, 2 deaths

Intensive care unit and ventilator capacity remain steady. Nearly 40 percent of ICU beds and nearly 81 percent of ventilators were available as of Sunday.

Marion County had the most new cases, at 107. Other counties with more than 10 new cases were Allen (38), Bartholomew (12), Clark (18), Delaware (20), Dubois (46), Elkhart (19), Hamilton (14), Howard (10), Johnson (10), Lake (43), Porter (11), Shelby (10), St. Joseph (14) and Vanderburgh (13).
