Indiana hospitals await health care overhaul news

Indiana hospitals are waiting tonight to see how the federal health care overhaul affects them. The AP reports that among those waiting, hospitals that treat high numbers of poor and uninsured residents are the most anxious to hear the news.

The law will give more people access to insurance when it takes effect January 1.

Hospitals say the uncertainty over whether or not Indiana will expand Medicaid services makes it hard to know what exactly they can expect.
