Indiana Michigan Power crews headed to assist with power restoration after hurricane

Indiana Michigan Power employees and contractors will be leaving for Florida on Saturday to assist with power restoration after Hurricane Dorian.

Crews from Fort Wayne, Muncie/Marion, South Bend/Elkhart and Southwest Michigan will be heading south to assist.

The majority of personnel will be line mechanics and forestry experts but they will also send assessors, safety and health experts and fleet mechanics.

Along with personnel, I&M will send bucket trucks, digger derricks and pickup trucks.
