Indiana Sheriff’s Association awarding scholarships to college students

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Sheriff’s Association announced that they will be giving out scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing a degree in criminal justice.

Scholarship awards will range from $40 to $750 and they will be offered throughout the state.

The fund was established as way to provide support to qualified students who are seeking a career in law enforcement.

In order to qualify, applicants must reside in Indiana, be a current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association, attend a college or university in Indiana and be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours).

Students can apply by visiting their local Sheriff’s Office or their high school guidance counselor.

The applications must be completed and received by the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association on or before April 1.
