Indiana State Fair kicks off

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Indiana State Fair kicked off on Friday with some new changes.

The standards of fair fare are there with elephant ears, cotton candy, lots of rides and animals.

But visitors will notice some changes because of last year's stage collapse.

There are new safety procedures in place and grandstand concerts have been moved to the Baker's Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.

The state fair runs through Aug. 9.
