SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced Wednesday that the state would stay at "Stage 4.5" of his "Back on Track" plan. State officials will reevaluate if the state will move to "Stage 5" in two weeks.
State officials say that the amount of positive Coronavirus cases nationwide helped contribute to this pause in reopening.
Officials say Indiana has a backlog of pending COVID-19 test results because of some many states having to increase testing.
Governor Holcomb also announced that he will not be issuing a statewide mask mandate for now, but he isn't ruling the out the possibility of doing so in the future if cases begin to surge statewide.
