Indianapolis Zoo opens Orangutan exhibit

INDIANAPOLIS -- A $20 million international exhibit opened Tuesday at the Indianapolis Zoo.

The zoo broke ground for one of their largest exhibits and will also serve as a research hub.

A zoo spokesperson said the reason the exhibit is so important is because the orangutans will be the first of the great apes to extinct.

He said the exhibit will also allow visitors to see them in their natural environment.
