INDOT announces road restrictions on U.S. 31 in South Bend

INDOT announced Tuesday both the north and southbound passing lanes of U.S. 31 between the Kern Road and U.S. 20/31 Bypass will be closed starting August 11 through August 19.
Road crews will install a temporary frame structure, which will be part of the Johnson Road bridge.
INDOT wants to warn drivers to be prepared to slow down and be alert of the area.
