INDOT closing LaPorte bridge for repairs after truck collision

The Indiana Department of Transportation says they will be closing a bridge in LaPorte after a beam was damaged from a truck collision.

INDOT says they are closing the I-80/90 bridge between West Shultz Road and Stonehedge Way that runs over U.S. 35.

The closure will begin Monday, October 24th and run through Monday, November 7th.

INDOT says crews will close the road to through traffic to repair a bridge beam that was damaged from a truck crash.

While crews are repairing, the road will only be closed at the bridge. Drivers wishing to travel south on U.S. 35 will be detoured east on U.S. 20, south on SR 39, and back to U.S. 35. Drivers heading north on U.S. 35 will be detoured north on SR 39, west on U.S. 20, and back to U.S. 35.
