INDOT crews prepared and well-stocked for next snow storm

LA PORTE, Ind. -- Areas that will be hit the hardest with this next snow storm are around the lake, and for Michiana that is Berrien and La Porte counties.

"The biggest challenge we're expecting to have is that the snow is going to be coming down so quickly, as much as 2-3 inches an hour," says Matt Deitchley with INDOT.

In the next 24 hours, ABC 57's First Warning Neighborhood Extreme Weather Team is expecting up to a foot of snow for La Porte county.

Perhaps the biggest news out of this storm is that INDOT says they are well-prepared.  The big storm two weeks ago is not causing them to run low on supplies, so roads will get plowed.

However, officials are warning anybody in these lake effect areas to stay off the roads as much as possible.
