INDOT to hold public hearing on proposed SR 2/U.S. 20 interchange

NEW CARLISLE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation wants to hear your take on a proposed interchange at U.S. 20 and State Road 2.

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday at New Prairie Middle School.

INDOT says the proposed plan will change the signalized intersection into a “dog bone” interchange where east-west traffic would be uninterrupted. North and south traffic would be elevated by a bridge with roundabouts at either end.

Planners say this design “is anticipated to provide safer and more efficient access from the off-ramps into mainline traffic flow.”

All community members are welcome to attend the hearing at 6 p.m.
