WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Republican Congressman Bill Huizenga from Michigan's fourth congressional district sat down with ABC57 News in order to discuss the conflict between Israel and Iran.
He spoke about President Joe Biden's response to the growing conflict between Israel and Iran, how this affects the war between Israel and Hamas, U.S. funding for Israel being tied to Ukraine in a single bill, and H.R. 5921, his piece of legislation called the No. U.S. Funding for Iran Act, which passed with a vote of 294 to 105.
“Tonight, the House took decisive action,” said Congressman Huizenga in a statement.
“The No U.S. Financing for Iran Act will help cut off Iran’s ability to finance terrorism. I am proud to lead this bipartisan effort to protect Americans, stand up for Israel, and hold the Iranian regime accountable for their actions.
The bill now heads to the U.S. Senate.
