Investigation confirms couple died of murder-suicide

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Osceola couple whose bodies were found in their West Rogers Street home died of a murder suicide, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office confirms.


According to the forensic pathologist, Terry Vonblon died as a result of a gunshot wound and her death was a homicide.


Mel Vonblon also died of a gunshot wound, but his manner of death was suicide.


The County Metro Homicide Unit found no evidence indicating anyone other than Mel Vonblon was the shooter.
