Investigators searching for person of interest in Benton Harbor shooting

Right now, the search continues for the teen, who police say, may be connected to shooting that happened in broad daylight yesterday in Benton Harbor.

That victim’s name hasn’t been released, but we know the person of interest. Investigators want to talk to 19-year-old Jarrod Fitzgerald Guidry.

Monday on ABC57 news at 6 we took you to this scene near the intersection of Empire and Pavone.

Around 4:40 pm investigators say a 35-year-old man was shot during some type of altercation.

The victim was taken to Lakeland hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Benton Harbor detectives are being assisted  by the Michigan State Police major case unit and FBI’s violent criminal task force.
