The Notre Dame football team is just four days into the fall training camp, but the defense has made significant progress under new defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman.
Freeman was a star athlete at Ohio State in his own right and is considered one of the up and coming coaches in college football.
He comes to South Bend after 4 seasons in Cincinnati where the Bearcats were one of the top defenses in the country.
Freeman met with the media for the first time Tuesday. He says all of his base packages are in and now they're just working on situational football.
