Irish preparing for home opener against Purdue

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Fighting Irish trampled all over Navy in the Emerald Isle Classic on Saturday, winning 50 to 10.

After arriving late Saturday night, the Irish players were back at work preparing for this Saturday's home opener against state rival Purdue.

On Sunday, the team watched film and broken down the highs and lows of Saturday's game.

Despite being down several players, the Irish were able to dramatically improve their states from last season.

In last season's opener, the Irish had five team turnovers in the first game.

On Saturdays game, the Irish had just one, an interception.
