NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- After football practice, Saturday, we spoke with Irish quarterback Gunner Kiel.

The freshman's uncle, former Irish quarterback, Blair Kiel died on Easter.

"I know he is going to be a guardian angel for me now and he is going to be there with me every game.  Every snap he is going to be there. It's going to be a great feeling going out there, and emotional too, whenever I go out there for the spring game. But, I know he is going to be in the stands cheering me on," says Gunner.

After he played for Notre Dame, Blair Kiel went on to play in the NFL for Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, and Green Bay.
