Isaac-affected victims facing lengthy food lines

NEW ORLEANS -- People affected by Hurricane Isaac looking to get emergency food benefits are facing lengthy lines.

Many people trying to get food vouchers have to wait in line for hours. Some people were satisfied with the experience, while others called it a waste of time.

"I came yesterday and they were turning people away at noon. So I started at 5 o'clock this morning to be here. I've missed three days of work now."

State police were called in to patrol the area to keep people from parking on nearby streets.

National Guard troops were also deployed to the area to help with crowd control and to distribute snacks and water.
