ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department hosted the return of Island of Blues at Island Park for the third consecutive year, drawing crowds to celebrate local music and community spirit.
Liz Stoutenour, an event organizer, said Island of Blue was a popular event in the early 2000s, but it faded away in the 2010s before making a comeback in recent years.
A large stage stood at the center of the island, where several bands performed throughout the day. Attendees enjoyed live music, barbecue food vendors, and a variety of drinks, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages.
