ISP K9 gets new uniform through donation organization

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Jordy, an Indiana State Police Department’s K9 officer is the donation recipient of a bullet and stab protective vest from a non-profit organization.

Vested Interest in K9’s, Inc. is a Massachusetts based organization whose mission is to provide protective vests for the dogs of law enforcement all over the United States.

The program can only provide vests to dogs that are actively employed in law enforcement or related agencies, newly graduated, or at least 20-months-old.

The donation for Jordy’s vest was $950.00.

Jordy can expect the new uniform in eight to ten weeks. And it will be embroidered In memory of Marie Jennings.

According to ISP, there is an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s nationally.
