ISP releases results of criminal interdiction patrol

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Indiana State Police conducted a criminal interdiction patrol on US 30 and US 31 Friday, March 2 in Marshall County.

Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and Warsaw Police Department also participated in the detail focusing on criminal activity on US 30 and US 31 in Marshall, Kosciusko and St. Joseph counties.

Police released the results of the initiative:

  • 49 vehicles stopped
  • 21 tickets
  • 25 warnings
  • 1 commercial vehicle inspection
  • 2 vehicles impounded
  • 4 individuals arrested on 9 different criminal charges
  • 1 arrested for Operating While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance  

Marijuana and heroin were found during the search of two vehicles.  

Officers in this detail also assisted a Peru trooper in a vehicle pursuit on US31 in Fulton and Marshall counties.
