Indiana University Health is now home to Indiana's first Comprehensive Stroke Center.
The state's largest health system recently achieved national recognition for having an advanced center.
IU Health Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis, is now the first in the Hoosier state to have a Comprehensive Stroke Center certification.
It's the nation's highest level of accreditation reserved for elite healthcare providers.
Less than two percent of more than 5,700 hospitals across the United States have this certification.
