IUSB commencement yields largest graduating class in 5 years

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It's time to celebrate the Class of 2012.

Right now, IUSB's commencement is just getting underway at the Joyce Center.

This is the largest graduating class in five years.

We talked with school administrators on Tuesday who told us they are happy to have graduation on the Notre Dame campus, that way, everyone can join the celebration.

"They don't have to limit the number it's free and as many people as who know graduates come so we end up with a full house with a lot of happy people and it's just a great fun event," said Ken Baierl, an IUSB spokesperson.

The school is handing out 1,068 degrees. Among the graduate is former South Bend police officer Mitch Kajzer, who was shot 20 years ago on the job.
