IUSB students move in on campus

Some local college students got quite the workout on Friday. They didn't even set foot in a gym!

It was move-in day for IUSB student housing. Students spent the day unloading cars and even trailers at the river crossing apartments on the IUSB campus.

While moving can be a pain, one student told ABC57 he was able to get the job done in a short amount of time!

"It took me about three hours. I had help. Actually, one of my fraternity brothers helped me move in. So if I had done it by myself, it would've taken me all day. I kind of got it done quickly.”

The students will have the weekend to enjoy their new digs, but then it's back to school!

IUSB classes start on Monday.

If you are one of the many students headed back to school at IUSB, be prepared for parking problems!

There is some construction that could set you behind if you're looking for a spot.

Construction includes the Education & Arts Building renovation on Ruskin & Esther Streets, and a new parking lot being built on Esther Street.

Peak hours for campus parking are between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

If you are headed to class, make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find a parking space.
