IUSB students offer dental clinic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Going to the dentist is not exactly fun.

But, thanks to some IUSB students, some Michiana folks will feel a little less financial pain on their next trip!

Saturday the school's Dental Hygiene Clinic opened its doors for a free sealant clinic.

Those sealants can cost about 30 dollars a tooth!!

Each spring, students offer their services to help folks save a little money while getting valuable practice for their future careers!

"Its important to offer because its a preventative service, it helps prevent decay. There are a lot of people in the area that can't afford this. If you go to a regular dental office, it could be in the hundreds to have this done," says IUSB dental student Brooke Bodart.

This year, the annual clinic is being offered over two weekends.  The clinic will offer the free sealants next Friday and Saturday, April 13-14.
