Ivy Tech names three finalists for South Bend-Elkhart chancellor
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Ivy Tech Community College announced its final three candidates for the South Bend-Elkhart chancellor post; Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper, Dr. Nerita Hughes and Andrew Williams.
The public is invited to attend community forums for each finalist allowing for meetings and question-asking.
These forums will be held at the Ivy Café at 220 Dean Johnson Boulevard on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon for Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper
- Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon for Dr. Nerita Hughes
- Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon for Andrew Williams
Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper is a Chicago native currently serving as President of Contra Costa College (CCC) in Sab Pablo, California. Earning her Doctorate in Counseling and Adult Higher Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL, she has also served as Provost at Inver Hills Community College.
Dr. Nerita Hughes is currently the Dean for the School of Business, Careers, Education & Workforce Innovation at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. A graduate of National American University and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Hughes’ experience crosses public and private sector leadership positions with a focus on racial equity.
Andy Williams is the interim chancellor at the South Bend/Elkhart campus of Ivy Tech Community College. A graduate from Indiana University Bloomington, Williams has spent 21 years at Ivy Tech in a number of leadership positions including finance, human resources and facilities management.
